Ed Hicks' love, understanding, and interpretation of his native New England might be characterized as "Frostian". A Glastonbury resident, he sees his environment in the simplest terms, concentrating on nature's essentials, eliminating the superficial. The paintings seems to be from another era, a time less hectic. He paints vignettes distilled from the best qualities of a specific where and when. Through conversation and multimedia, I highlight the Artist’s works, words, and bizarre ways. Knowing more about their lives will help you better understand their art. Included are large projected images of their paintings. A tribute to many great artists and comedians. The artist’s paintings, comic’s words, their “je ne sais quio”, though in different mediums, have enriched our lives!
